A Prayer of St. Claire of Assisi.

Loving God, in your grace you make the soul of the believer greater than the heavens. For the heavens and all other creatures cannot comprehend you, the Creator of all things. Let my soul desire to be for you a dwelling and a resting place.

As the Virgin Mary bore you in her womb, so I desire to bear you in my heart.

I wish to imitate Mary in self-giving, humility and trust.

Christ, I wish to contain you just as you contain me and all  the world.

You are my true riches and nothing in the world is as precious as you. Amen.

                                        Offering Prayer:

I give you my hands to do your work.

I give you my feet to go your way.

I give you my eyes to see as you do.

I give you my tongue to speak your words.

I give you my mind that you may think in me.

I give you my spirit that you may pray in me.

I give you my heart that you may love in me.

I give you my whole self that you may grow in me.

                               Amen.
