Parish Pastoral Team: Some events planned for the Autumn include:
(1) Annual Baptism Mass on Sunday 17th September in Boherlahan Church at 10.00am.
(2) Harvest Celebration later in Autumn.
Mary’s Meals: Mary’s Meals is an organization that does incredible work in helping the poor of this world. We welcome to our parish this weekend some of their volunteers who will share with us about the work they are involved in.
Boherlahan Church Choir: We welcome back our Church Choir this weekend. We thank them sincerely for the work they do each week in enhancing our liturgy. If you would like to join them just come along any Sunday. You will be most welcome.
Holycross Abbey Solemn Novena 2023: Holycross Abbey Solemn Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help will run once again from Friday 8th to Saturday 16th September. Altar Servers: We hope to begin training for new servers for both churches in the coming weeks. We ask parents to encourage their children to serve. It will help them in their knowledge and understanding of the Faith.
A Prayer for Our Earth (Laudato Si)
All powerful God you are present in the whole universe and in the
smallest of your creatures. You embrace with your tenderness all
that exists.
Pour out upon us the power of Your love that we may protect life
and beauty. Fill us with peace that we may live as brothers and
sisters harming no one.
O God of the poor, help us to rescue the abandoned and forgotten
of this earth so precious in Your eyes. Bring healing to our lives,
that we may protect the world and not prey on it, that we may sow
beauty, not pollution and destruction.
Touch the hearts of those who look only for gain at the expense of
the poor of the earth.
Teach us to discover the worth of each thing, to be filled with awe
and contemplation, to recognise that we are profoundly united
with every creature as we journey towards Your infinite light.
We thank You for being with us each day. Encourage us, we pray,
in our struggle for justice, love and peace. Amen.
