North Tipp Branch of Mary’s Meals: Last year we collected just over €50,000 in 10 parishes. Your generosity will feed 2,270 children one meal a day in school for an entire school year which is truly extraordinary (€22 per child). We appreciate your parish’s significant contribution. With the goodwill of your P.P. and of Archbishop Kieran O’Reilly we will revisit your parish later in the year. Chairperson: John Egan, Templemore, 087 8158720.

Parish Pastoral Team: THE NEW TESTAMENT – THE GOOD NEWS. Boherlahan parish hope to distribute the New Testament to every home during Lent. To launch this initiative, a meeting is planned to be held in Dualla Hall on Tuesday March 19th at 8pm. There will be a guest speaker. In the months ahead, it is hoped that a weekly or monthly prayer meeting including Bible Study will be established in the parish.

MASS PATH WALK, GOOD FRIDAY, 29th MARCH 2p.m.: In conjunction with Ardmayle Heritage Society the walk via the Mass path will take place this year, beginning at 2p.m. We invite all to be part of this Pilgrim walk arriving at Boherlahan Church at 3p.m. for the Good Friday Ceremonies. In particular, we invite parents and children in our three Primary schools receiving the Sacrament of Holy Communion in May to come. It will mark a special event in the life of your child/children at one of the major celebrations in the Church’s year. Children from each school, as well as parishioners, will share prayers and thoughts as we pause for reflection on the walk. All are welcome.

HEART TO HAND APPEAL: This appeal is a joint effort by the four parishes in our Combination. The project aims to send a truck-load of non-perishable food and medical supplies to orphanages in Albania after Lent. The Pastoral Team are organising this appeal in conjunction with organisations and schools in the parish. It will run for four weeks in Lent. The food or medical items will be different each weekend and may be left in the box in the porch. You will find more information on the Church Notice Board.

YOU ARE MY BELOVED SON/DAUGHTER.

How blessed we are to be alive.

How blessed to have the comradeship of real friends,

To sit with them and enjoy the talking and the listening,

To know that we are treasured and accepted.

How blessed to welcome the daffodil and spring life breaking forth,

To welcome the red sunsets decorating the hills,

To know that we are cherished and loved.

How blessed we are to be alive.

Lord, may your mercy heal our broken world,

May there be peace and consolation in all our hearts.

Direct us in the ways of faith and hope.

May our deeds find their inspiration in You,

So that your love can reach out to touch the hearts of everyone. Amen.
