Chrism Mass: Chrism Mass in the Cathedral of the Assumption on Wednesday 27th March at 7pm. The Archbishop would like representatives from each parish to attend. It is a very beautiful ceremony and all are welcome.

2nd Collection: Our 2nd Collection will be taken up this weekend. It would traditionally have been the Priest’s Easter Collection. I want to again express my very sincere thanks for the support, cooperation and friendship that I receive from this parish. Your kindness and understanding I truly appreciate.

Newsletter Notices: Please forward by Wednesday evening any items for the Newsletter to frjoeegan@gmail.com.

Parish Pastoral Team — THE NEW TESTAMENT — THE GOOD NEWS: We had a lovely celebration on Tuesday night reminding us of the importance of reading the scriptures as a way of prayer. In the months ahead, it is hoped that a weekly or monthly prayer meeting including Bible Study will be established in the parish.

MASS PATH WALK, GOOD FRIDAY, 29th MARCH 2pm: In conjunction with Ardmayle Heritage Society the walk via the Mass path will take place this year, beginning at 2p.m. We invite all to be part of this Pilgrim walk arriving at Boherlahan Church at 3p.m. for the Good Friday Ceremonies. In particular, we invite parents and children in our three Primary schools receiving the Sacrament of Holy Communion in May to come. It will mark a special event in the life of your child/children at one of the major celebrations in the Church’s year. Children from each school, as well as parishioners, will share prayers and thoughts as we pause for reflection on the walk. All are welcome.

HEART TO HAND APPEAL: This appeal was a joint effort by the four parishes in our Combination. The project aims to send a truck-load of non-perishable food and medical supplies to orphanages in Albania after Lent. The Pastoral Team organised this appeal and the response has been wonderful. Thanks to all involved.

                                                HOLY WEEK

As we enter Holy Week we reflect on the events that lie at the core of our faith.

We meet the servant Jesus who washes the disciple’s feet.

We meet the generous Jesus who shares his very life with us.

We meet the forgiving Jesus on the cross.

We meet the risen Jesus who intercedes for us with the Father.

Come and pray with us this week.

                                               EASTER  TRUST

Lord Jesus, I give you my hands to do your work.

I give you my feet to go your way.

I give you my eyes to see as you do.

I give you my tongue to speak your words.

I give you my mind that you may think in me.

I give you my spirit that you may pray in me.

I give you my heart that you may love in me.

I give you my whole self that you may grow in me, so that it is you, Lord Jesus, who live and work and pray in me. Amen.
