Ardmayle Heritage Society: This year, Ardmayle Heritage Society is celebrating the 40^th anniversary of its foundation in 1983. As part of this celebration, an event will be held in St. John’s Church, Ardmayle on Thursday October 5^th at 7.30pm. The event will consist of music, poetry reading, song and an unveiling of a model of the church. This model was fashioned by Johnny Fogarty and painted by Damien McCarron. An evening of entertainment is anticipated! The members of Ardmayle Heritage Society would be delighted if you could join us in this celebration on the night.

Sun. 1^st Oct. is a Day of Prayer for Life. Let us always give respect and dignity to all God’s children.

Wed. 4^th Oct. is the feast of St. Francis of Assisi. He is the national patron of Italy and also patron saint of ecologists.

Sat. 7^th Oct. is the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. October is the month of the Rosary. This prayer will be recited at Dualla Grotto on Sundays at 2pm. during the month of October.

I want to say a special thanks to all the schools for the work they do in preparing the children and in particular to the teachers involved.

Ministers of the Word: The Archdiocesan Pastoral Council are organising training nights for current and future Readers in the coming months. The nearest to us will be in Cashel on 22^nd November 7.30-9.30pm. They are also organising a course for Ministers of the Eucharist on 28^th November  7.30-9.30pm. More details in the coming weeks. 

Prayer to the Holy Spirit.

O Holy Spirit, give me stillness of soul in you.        

Calm the turmoil within, with the gentleness of your peace.

Quiet the anxiety within, with a deep trust in you.

Heal the wounds of sin within, with the joy of your forgiveness.

Strengthen the faith within, with the awareness of your presence.

Confirm the hope within, with the knowledge of your strength.

Speak, Lord, your servant is listening. Amen.

May God bless every person I meet.

May He give all of us the grace to bring
