Friday the 9th of September marked the end of an era as Frank Freney retired from An Post having served many areas of the parish for sixteen years.

Frank on his last day of 16 years of delivering the post

Many people who he delivered post to, neighbours, family and friends enjoyed a wonderful evening of celebration in Tony Lacey’s where music was provided by the Fitzgerald brothers.

During the presentation made by Laura (who will take over the deliveries on Frank’s route), she congratulated Frank on his service, noting that in 16 years, he never missed a day of work.

Frank worked in the Dairygold Co-op in Ardmayle for many years, before, on its closure, relocating to the Cashel store. Following that, he joined An Post. Congratulations Frank, well done and we wish you many happy and healthy years ahead.
