An application has been submitted to the Community Heritage Grant Scheme 2024 for funding of urgent necessary repairs to the roof of the Bianconi Mortuary Chapel in Boherlahan, preservation of the Benzoni marble reliefs within, and the commissioning of a comprehensive Conservation Survey to inform plans for future maintenance and works.
The application is being supported by Tipperary Tourism, Scoil San Isadóir, Ardmayle Heritage Society, Boherlahan-Dualla GAA, Tipperary Co. Council Heritage, The Historical Journal, The Brothers of Charity Services, and other groups and individuals.
The Heritage Council will announce the allocation of grants during the month of May.
