The traditional St John’s Eve celebrations will take place in St John’s Ardmayle on Sunday 23 June at 8pm.
The evening will commence with the unveiling of a plaque to the memory of Jack Clancy T.D. at the Clancy grave. Jack Clancy was elected a member of the first Dail in 1919.
This will be followed by the lighting of a bonfire, storytelling in the church, with tea and refreshments to end the evening.
Everyone, both young and old, are welcome.
