We are asked to remember in our prayers this month the work of priests, religious and lay volunteers working on the Missions.
Sunday 24 October is World Mission Sunday. The theme this year is: ‘We Cannot Remain Silent-we cannot but speak about what we have seen and heard’ (Acts 4:20). Through World Mission Sunday and your generosity, Ireland helps to build other churches in poorer parts of the world and to empower local people to form and sustain communities of faith. It also supports vulnerable children through educational, medical, welfare and formation programmes. They need our help more than ever.
You may hand in your Mission Sunday Collection envelope at any weekend Mass or at another time that is convenient for you. Some spare envelopes are available in the porch of the church.
