On Sunday the 8th of December the annual Christmas Party took place in the Hall in Boherlahan. People travelled from near and far to enjoy this joyous occasion. Mass was concelebrated by Fr. Tom Dunne and Fr. Joe Egan. Liam Brennan was the caterer on the day, where everyone enjoyed a beautiful Christmas dinner.

The Boherlahan Bingo Committee organised Bingo afterwards where you could hear a pin drop in the Hall, such was the silence while everyone concentrated on being the winner. They kindly donated prize money on the day, where Mick Barry from Aghada in Cork was one of many who scooped the cash prizes.

There was plenty of songs and dancing afterwards with music provided by Eddie Golden. Paddy Cullen, Oliver Hassett, Helen O’Dwyer and James Murphy, to name but a few, got up on stage and sang songs. Biddy Moloughney gave a recitation and Donnacha Ó Cinnéide told stories. The evening ended with tea and cake and a lively twenty minutes of dancing.

The Order of Malta were on duty during the event and provided valuable assistance to anyone who needed it. A great day was had by everyone overall.
