Booking of Masses: anniversary Masses etc. continue to be offered as usual. Bookings may be made by contacting the sacristan or either of the priests of the parish.

Weekend Masses: Mass will be celebrated each Saturday evening in Dualla church at 6.30pm, and in Boherlahan church each Sunday at 11.00am. Unfortunately because of Covid 19 restrictions these Masses are not open to the public but you may come and park your car around either church and hear Mass.

Last Sunday was Mission Sunday. The theme this year is: ‘Together we can do more: Blessed are the peacemakers.’ Through World Mission Sunday and your generosity, Ireland helps to build other churches in poorer parts of the world and empower local people to form and sustain communities of faith. It also supports vulnerable children through educational, medical, welfare and formation programmes. In this pandemic year they need our help more than ever. You may hand in your Mission Sunday Collection envelope at any weekend Mass or at another time that is convenient for you.

Safeguarding Newsletter: The Director of Safeguarding in the Archdiocese of Cashel & Emly, Cleo Yates, recently forwarded the latest edition of the Safeguarding Newsletter to parishes. October is the annual safeguarding month in our diocese. You may read a copy on the notice board in the church porch. Alternatively you may read it by following this link: http://www.cashel-emly.ie/safeguarding

Emergencies: during the Covid-19 restrictions, Fr Dunne remains on-call to respond to emergencies e.g. sacrament of the sick. Please telephone him at 083-4854776.

Newsletter Notices: please forward by Wednesday evening any items for the newsletter to either of the priests or at the usual email address: boduparish@gmail.com These will be included in the online newsletter which will be posted each week on www.boherlahandualla.ie during the pandemic restrictions.

November Masses for the Dead:  Every November our thoughts and prayers turn to our loved ones who have died. Our faith tells us that our prayers and Masses can help them. The November envelopes are available in the porches of the churches. We ask you to write in the names and hand them in as soon as possible. In collecting your envelope, if you know a neighbour or neighbours who would appreciate an envelope, please take one for them.

Dualla Carpark: Work will commence on Dualla car park next week. This will cause some inconvenience to school personnel and those wishing to visit the church. Probably the best way to approach the church is through the cemetery. We ask for your understanding and cooperation during this time.

Service to dedicate November as a month of Prayer and Remembrance for the Dead and Bereaved: (Bishop’s Statement). This Service of Prayer and Remembrance will take place in both churches (without congregation) on next Sunday at 3pm.

First Friday: Given the recent introduction of level five restrictions, the priests of the parish will make individual contact with the housebound during next week.

A series of six weekly scripture reflections is being offered online each Monday evening 7:30-9pm Mon 2 Nov – Mon 7 Dec. The title is: ‘Experiencing God’s Word – allowing Isaiah’s perspective to inform our lives.’ Registration is essential. Further queries, email bibleincashelandemly@gmail.com. Please feel free to forward this invitation to others.

Community Website: On www.boherlahandualla.ie, you can read about the 5th Green Flag which has been awarded to Scoil San Isadóir and see a photo of the occasion. We also have the October Bulletin from the Legion of Mary which outlines the origin of the Rosary and references connections with our two parish churches. Please send your notices, reports, photos and news to editor@boherlahandualla.ie

Act of Spiritual Communion

My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love you above all things, and I desire to receive you into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace you as if you were already there and unite myself wholly to you. Never permit me to be separated from you. (St Alphonsus de Liguori)
