We hope to call a meeting as soon as possible to discuss and plan how our parish here can play its part.  We also plan to distribute some literature on the plan “Seeds of Hope” in the coming weeks.

November Masses for the Dead:  Every November our thoughts and prayers turn to our loved ones who have died. Our faith tells us that our prayers and Masses can help them. The November envelopes are available in the porches of the churches. We ask you to write in the names and hand them in as soon as possible. In collecting your envelope, if you know a neighbour or neighbours who would appreciate an envelope, please take one for them.

Covid and Safety in Church: Sensible hygiene measures and the use of face coverings are among the ways in which people’s health can be protected and all can feel confident in gathering in church.Your cooperation in this important matter is much appreciated.

Cashel and Emly Pope John Paul II Awards: If you are a secondary school student from TY year upwards, who is willing to be involved in your parish/school, why not participate in the Pope John Paul II Award. Fr Vincent Stapleton, the Diocesan Director, would only be delighted to visit your parish and assist with the setting up of the Award. Our new diocesan plan – Seeds of Hope – calls us all to encourage the youth of our diocese to get involved. This is a great way to do so.

BE VIGILANT: as the winter nights set in we ask all parishioners to keep a special eye out for the elderly and those who live alone. If anyone notices any suspicious activity or vehicles in the area, we ask them to contact the local Gardaí. Let us as a community care for one another.

On Christ the King: ‘By his sacrifice, Jesus has opened for us the path to a profound relationship with God: in him we have become true adopted children and thus sharers in his kingship over the world. To be disciples of Jesus, then, means not letting ourselves be allured by the worldly logic of power, but bringing into the world the light of truth and God’s love.’ (Pope Benedict XVI, 2012)
