Parish Masses:  During the Level Five restrictions it is intended to continue parish Masses in both churches, with ‘drive in’ attendance only. Please note that all Masses in Boherlahan will be live streamed.

  • Weekend Masses in Boherlahan and Dualla will be at the usual times.
  • Weekday Masses will be in Boherlahan: Monday to Friday at 10.00am.

Live Streaming of Masses: Each Mass from Immaculate Conception Church, Boherlahan, will be live streamed during Covid restrictions. Follow these easy steps to connect to it: 1. Start a search in Google by typing ‘churchcamlive.ie/boherlahan’; 2. Press the play button in the centre of the screen.

Booking of Masses: anniversary Masses etc. continue to be offered as usual. Bookings may be made by contacting the sacristan or either of the priests of the parish. Please note that the names of those being remembered are recalled at each weekend Mass in the parish, both in Boherlahan and in Dualla. In addition, these names are also included in the online newsletter each weekend.

Season of Lent: Lent challenges me in three ways: Personal. How am I living the Christian life?  Am I serious about avoiding sin and practising virtue? Communal:  How do I treat my family, the people I live with, work with, neighbours?  Universal: Do I reach out to the poor and those on the margins of society? Taking home a Trócaire Box and contributing to the poor of our world would be one way. The Trócaire boxes are available on the seats in the back of the church.

‘Preparing for New Life’ – Lenten Reflections: Sr Therese Fitzgerald (Sister of Sion) will share online 7:30pm to 9pm each Monday for 6 weeks 22 February 29 March.  A contribution of €15 is requested, covering all six evenings. Registration is open at this link: www.surveymonkey.com/r/LentenReflections.  Registration will close on Friday 19Feb at 12 noon or when capacity has been reached.

Newsletter Notices: please forward by Wednesday evening any items for the newsletter to either of the priests or at the usual email address: boduparish@gmail.com These will be included in the online newsletter which will be posted each week on www.boherlahandualla.ie during the pandemic restrictions.

Emergencies: during the Covid-19 restrictions, Fr Dunne remains on-call to respond to emergencies e.g. sacrament of the sick. Please telephone him at 083-4854776.

First Collection: Our First Collection for 2021 was taken up last weekend. This year the nine Collections will hopefully meet the targets for all eleven collections. This First Collection would traditionally be for Peters Pence and that will give you guidance on how much to contribute. We, the priests, wish to thank so many of you who have been so loyal during the past year in supporting our Church. Your goodness and generosity inspire us. You may hand in your envelope at any time.

Scoil San Isadóir, Boherlahan: Enrolment applications will close on Fri 26 Feb 2021. Application forms can be found on our website www.boherlahanns.com or you can email the office to request one at boherlahanns@gmail.com

Act of Spiritual Communion

My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love you above all things, and I desire to receive you into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace you as if you were already there and unite myself wholly to you. Never permit me to be separated from you. (St Alphonsus de Liguori)

Prayer to St Roch (Protector against infectious diseases)

O Blessed St Roch, Patron of the sick, look with mercy on those who suffer illness.

Your power was so great when you were in this world, that by the sign of the Cross, many were healed of their diseases. Now that you are in heaven, your power is no less. Offer to God our intentions and tears and obtain for us the physical and spiritual health we seek. This we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

St Roch: Pray for us, that we may be relieved from all diseases of body and soul.
