The Trócaire boxes are available in the porches of the Church. Please take one home and if you know of any neighbours who might wish to help the poor, during Lent, take one for them as well.

Thursday 23rd Feb. is the feast of St. Polycarp (Turkey) bishop and martyr.

Friday 24th Feb is the worldwide Day of Prayer for survivors and victims of sexual abuse.

The Challenge of Lent:

  1. Personal: How am I living the Christian life? Will I try to do better this Lent? Avoid sin and practise virtue?
  2. Communal: How do I treat my family, the people I live with, work with, neighbours and friends?
  3. Spiritual: Will I be faithful to daily prayer, going to Mass and helping the poor of our world?

Clonoulty-Rossmore Parish: Rossmore 7.30pm. Sat. Clonoulty 10.00 am. Sun. Holycross-Ballycahill Parish: Ballycahill 7.30pm. Sat. Holycross 11.00am. Sun. Upperchurch-Drombane Parish: Drombane 6.30pm. First Collection: Our First Collection for 2023 will be taken up this weekend. This year the nine collections will hopefully meet the Diocesan targets requested. The First Collection (Green) would traditionally be for Peters Pence. This Collection enables Pope Francis to help the poorer and most vulnerable people in our world. Again I want to say a very sincere thanks to all of you who have been so loyal in supporting the Parish and the Church. Your goodness and generosity inspire me.

Boherlahan Community Association: Car Park Construction in Boherlahan Village: Work is continuing on the development of a car park area in Boherlahan Village. This community car park will provide 17 new parking spaces, including disability parking adjacent to the entrance to the Parochial House. The initial construction period is likely to be six weeks. This community development is being undertaken with support from both I.I.P. and Leader programmes. We are also grateful for the support of the Department of Justice and South Tipperary Development Company respectively.

Ardmayle Heritage Society: Ardmayle Heritage Society would like to thank all who attended their recent celebration of forty years as a society. They unveiled a plaque and planted a tree at Ardmayle to mark the occasion.

Spiritual Thoughts:

May the God of Peace be with you, taking away your fears and doubts, and may the mantle of your Peace cover those who are troubled and anxious. May the blessing of Peace be upon you. Amen.
