Juvenile GAA Club news

Juvenile GAA:
The U14's played their first round of the championship on Thursday evening last on a lovely sunny evening in Boherlahan. Upperchurch looked strong in the first half and were ahead by nine points at half time, whatever was said at the half time break Boherlahan came out all guns blazing and put in a great second half performance to win the game by two points. Upperchurch had beaten Boherlahan in their last two meetings, so this win will give the players and mentors a boost. They play this Thursday evening against Holycross at 7pm in Holycross. The U16's played Annacarty and Clerihan in challenge matches, in preparation for the first round of the U16 championship, which begins on Monday 29th June against Durlas Og in Thurles. Both our U12 teams were in action last week losing out on this occasion. The U12B team play Durlas Og on Tuesday evening in Thurles at 7pm, while the group 5 U12's play Gortnahoe at 10am in Boherlahanthis Saturday morning . The U10's played a friendly against Rosegreen on Saturday morning last. The Cul camp is on 6th-10th July all queries to Esther 086-1265723.

Congratulations: History was made in Dualla National School last Wednesday 17th June when the first ever team from the school qualified in a Cumann na mBunscoil competition. The U11 panel won the county final in their division. Playing against a strong Golden team our players showed true determination, team play and spirit. The panel were Patrick Gahan, Darragh Ryan, Robbie Darcy, Eoin Moloughney (capt), Bobby Power, Ross Darcy, Darragh Leahy, Cian Toomey and Thomas Breen. Great credit is due to their principal and coach John Manley for his tireless work and commitment to all the budding young players in the school. Sincere thanks to the parents and extended families who came to the final and finally to the very vocal student supporters and staff.
Commiserations: To the U11A girls of St. Isidores N.S. Boherlahan who were defeated by a narrow margin of two points in their Camogie County Final v Nenagh in Semple Stadium last Thursday morning. Full time score was 4-3 to 4-1. Many thanks to all the parents, supporters and mentors.
