What a weekend of action it was in the John West National Féile na nGael. Great games and entertainment were served up, with a total of eleven games alone taking place in Boherlahan GAA Grounds.
The massive effort put in, in preparation for Féile was exemplary. Thanks to Burt GAA, whom the Juvenile Club hosted, Padraig Pearses whom the Camogie Club hosted, Gortnahoe Glengoole who partnered us in organising the event here and to Eire Og Carrickmore GAA, whom they hosted.
Special thanks to everyone involved in preparing the grounds in recent weeks, including all the volunteers in the painting of the clubhouse and hurlwall area.
However, where would we be without the club teams and especially the children themselves. It is hard to play one match in a day but to contend with two and three together it highlights how important Gaelic games are in their lives and how far they will go to take part. Congratulations to all team mentors too.
Huge thanks to all the host families for taking in visiting players for the weekend, the experiences and friendships gained will no doubt last a lifetime.
Lastly, thanks to anyone who helped in any way, these successful events don't just happen on their own
