Cemetery Week: Because of the uncertainty surrounding the safety and well-being of all involved we have decided to cancel all outdoor cemetery Masses this year. During the last week we received notification from the Munster Bishops Conference and also from Archbishop O Reilly advising us to cancel these gatherings. What we have decided to do instead is to have a Cemetery Week, when we will offer the Masses for all our loved ones who have died in the parish since August 2019. The Masses will be celebrated as follows:
Immaculate Conception Church, Boherlahan: Monday 17 August 7.30pm; Wednesday 19 Aug 9.00am; Friday 21 Aug 7.30pm
Our Lady of Fatima Church, Dualla: Tuesday 18 August 6.30pm; Thursday 20 Aug 6.30pm; Friday 21 August 9.30am
At these Masses the names of all those who have died in the past year will be called out. Our two main graveyards Ardmayle and Dualla are cared for by Parish Committees with some help from Tusla. We appreciate the loyalty, dedication and generosity of these people and we thank them sincerely for their goodness and cooperation. If any family who have graves in either cemetery would like to help in the upkeep and maintenance of the cemeteries, we recommend €10 as a yearly contribution. We regret having to make these arrangements and we hope we will be back to outdoor celebrations next year.
