Throughout this year, 2023, the Ardmayle Heritage Society has been celebrating the 40th anniversary of its foundation in 1983 with walks and talks in and around Ardmayle. There has also been a tree planting ceremony and a plaque was erected to commemorate forty years of heritage work in the locality.

To further celebrate this achievement, Johnny Fogarty from Cashel was commissioned to create, in wood, a model of St. John’s Church and Tower House in Ardmayle. The model was painted by the painter-artist Damien McCarron.

On Thursday October 5th at 7.30pm there will be a gathering in the church in Ardmayle for the unveiling of this model by Fr. Joe Egan P.P. Boherlahan-Dualla.

And to celebrate the event there will be music, poetry reading and singing in the church. All are welcome to come and enjoy a wonderful night of entertainment and heritage.

The members of Ardmayle Heritage Society would be delighted if you could join us in this celebration on the night.

Date: Thursday October 5th 2023 at 7.30pm.
