Work on the redevelopment of the Community Hall is about to commence. The Hall and its site, including the tennis court, are not accessible to the public. It is now under the control of Martin Hayde Construction. Please spread the word that no access is allowed. We look forward to having a lovely new Community Hall completed early in 2021.
Any ideas for the upgrade of the Community Field and Denis Leamy Centre are welcome and can be emailed to joanakennedy1999@gmail.com. This will be our next project. Any proposals received will be worked on by the committee in preparation for evaluation, discussion and reformulation by the community when gathering for meetings is again permitted.
The Dualla Community Association committee, selected by the community at the last AGM, are now looking after the Hall, as well as the Community Field and Denis Leamy Centre. This responsibility was assumed last year from Dualla Parish Council, following the transfer of the property from the Diocesan Trust to the local community.
Planning permission for the car park plan has been granted and hopefully work can get started in the coming months. Despite these difficult pandemic times, behind-the-scenes work has continued apace on these significant local projects. We look forward in 2021 to seeing the results of the efforts of the community and committees who have worked together so well with the common goal of enhancing our community facilities.
