Copies of this year’s Journal will be sold outside both churches after the weekend Masses on the 10 / 11 October. The cost is €10. You may also contact any committee member to ensure that you get a copy. The journal will also be available at a number of retail outlets. The society is indebted to the contributors of articles and photographs who, under difficult circumstances, ensured publication this year. Don’t be without the 23rd issue of the journal; it adds to the understanding of our past.

The following are some of the articles: Of Parades and Patriotism: Security, nationally and locally 1940-5; The Quinlan family, Ballytarsna; My journey in search of my Irish ancestors; John Walsh: The man who died three times; The clearances in Thurlesbeg, 1844-56; ‘A Valuable Property’: the Smith-Barry Cashel Estate; Religious connections to the Harrington family, Aughnagomaun; The Great War: A long way from Tipperary
