In very tough conditions following recent heavy rain, all the participants ran extremely well. In the boys U10 competition, Harry Ryan came in 3rd position with further medals for Niall Quirke, Albert Maher and Dunnacha Harrington.

In the girls U10 race, Aoife O Donnell won the gold medal with Ruth O Connell coming in 5th position. They will both now be part of the County Tipperary panel for the All Ireland Winter finals in May in UL.

In the boys U14 race, there was a gold and silver again for Boherlahan Dualla with Daire O Donnell winning followed by Tadhg O Donnell. For the third year in a row, the two boys will represent Tipperary at the All Ireland finals in May.

It was with great pride that Boherlahan Dualla was delighted to receive the Mary Doyle Memorial Trophy from Albert Doyle as the area with the most participants. This is the third year in a row that we have received this award, and the children and their parents are due huge credit for coming out in such unpleasant conditions to compete. Thanks to our three parish schools for encouraging participation.

Finally we will keep our fingers crossed – Boherlahan Dualla is representing Tipperary as the best large area at the 2019 National Community Games Awards on 7th December.
