My Experience in Boherlahan – by Sarah Bell.

When I was five years of age I started school in Little Flower National School, Ballytarsna. I lived happily in the parish of Boherlahan for a few years with my family at Synone which is located in the heart of Tipperary.
One day when I was at my granny’s house she said that I lived near where she had played football when she was younger in the old Boherlahan hurling field. I didn’t know where it was as I could not see a playing field anywhere, so I would go searching for it every day but never really found it.
The next time my granny visited my house in Synone she showed me where it was. To my amazement and surprise the old Boherlahan hurling field was actually right across the road from the house I lived in. We discovered the little plaque on the wall. This plaque showed me when it was used as a playing field and the year it wasn’t used anymore. This, my experience in Boherlahan, began with a conversation with my granny.
