Niall Fitzgerald represented Tipperary in U12 Solo music competition at the Community Games All Ireland Finals on 26th May in UL. Niall was playing his melodeon and against extremely talented opposition, put on an amazing performance to gain 4th place overall earning the pewter prize.

Niall then was joined by his brothers Cian and Aaron. They were Tipperary’s representatives in the U16 group music competition. Cian played the concertina, Aaron played the Uileann pipes and Niall had his melodeon, and together, they produced a phenomenal sound. It was no surprise when the boys were awarded the silver medal. This is even more impressive considering that Niall and Aaron are still U12.

The boys are a credit to their parents Elaine and Jimmy. They recently appeared on TG4 Realta agus Gaolta. They had individual and group success at the county Fleadh Ceoil recently and are going on to the Munster Fleadh Ceoil on 20th July – we wish them the best of luck!
