Triona Heffernan finished out a very successful year for Boherlahan Dualla Community Games by reaching the “A” Final of the Girls U8 80m sprint race. Triona was representing Tipperary in the competition.

Triona had to qualify initially from her heat where the athletes were streamed into the “A” and “B” competitions on Sat 16th August in UL. She then returned the following morning and came 2nd in her semi-final qualifying for the final that afternoon. She ran a superb race and finished in 5th place in the final – a fantastic achievement.

Boherlahan Dualla also had a mixed U13 4x100m relay team of Tadhg O Donnell, Ruth O Connell, Doireann Ryan and Daire O Donnell representing Tipperary.  They ran extremely well but were against very strong opposition and didn’t progress to the final.

Ryne Bargary had qualified to compete in U12 600m but was injured and couldn’t compete.

Thus, a very successful year came to an end for Boherlahan Dualla Community Games where the children in the parish participated in a multitude of sporting, art and cultural events.
